Raising Awareness in 2015
Mitrofanoff Support Australia (MSA) CEO Janelle Solomon has so far this year attended conferences, patient support groups and hospitals in South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and New Zealand to raise awareness of the needs of mitrofanoff patients.
A key objective of MSA is to raise awareness about the organisation, the various complex reconstructive procedures available to chronic patients, and the emotional, clinical and social support network MSA provides for patients in Australia.
Attending industry conferences is a great opportunity for clinical practitioners to learn first hand about the complex urological procedures from a patient's perspective. Hollister Mitrofanoff Australia Scholarship Winner 2015 and Gastronaught puppets are always of great interest to delegates, as are the range of projects MSA has underway to improve clinical resources and financial assistance for nurses and patients.
Mitrofanoff Support Australia gratefully acknowledges generous support from the following organisations which have provided free, or heavily discounted exhibition booths, sponsorship to attend industry conferences, and/or helping to raise awareness by displaying MSA brochures in their own trade exhibition spaces:
