HunterCath launched in Australia

The HunterCath was launched by Sutherland Medical at the Victorian Continence Resource Centre State Conference on 29th May 2015.

Designed in consultation with Mitrofanoff patients the unique tapered flexible tip of the HunterCath helps the catheter ease through the continent valve in the bladder wall making it one of the most comfortable catheters for Mitrofanoff patients to use.

HunterCath comes in a range of Foley Gauge sizes and lengths from FG6-14.  The CH14 HunterCath has 4 large smooth eyelets to help with rapid emptying of the bladder and allowing mucus and small stones to easily pass out of the bladder into the catheter.  The HunterCath is suitable for men who have trouble inserting catheters via the urethra due to strictures or ‘bends’ in the urethral channel after treatment for prostrate cancer.

HunterCaths are available through Independence Australia by calling: 1300 788 855, or Brightsky on: 1300 88 66 01 . The HunterCath is registered with various National, State and Territory appliance and continence financial assistance schemes. Check with your Stomal Therapy Nurse or Continence Nurse Advisor to see if HunterCath is suitable for you to use.
