2016 Hollister Mitrofanoff Australia Winner Lisa Naeher

Colourful resources for kids with complex urological conditions

The world is about to get a little bit more colourful for children with complex urological conditions.
The winning project for the 2016 Hollister Mitrofanoff Support Australia Scholarship will produce a colouring book for children undergoing a Mitrofanoff procedure.
Mrs Lisa Naeher, a Stoma/Urology Clinical Practice Consultant at the Women's & Children's Hospital in Adelaide is the winner of the 2nd national Hollister Mitrofanoff Support Australia Scholarship.
The $3,000 scholarship sponsored by Hollister will enable Lisa to develop a colouring book that assists children to relax, understand their bodies, the surgeries they will undertake and the use of catheters. The colouring book addresses a significant gap in the resources available for explaining the Mitrofanoff procedure and catheterisation to young children.
CEO of Mitrofanoff Support Australia, Janelle Solomon flew to Adelaide to present the cheque to Lisa.
Copies of the colouring book will be available from mid-2017 through hospitals, specialists and Mitrofanoff Support Australia’s website www.mitrofanoffaustralia.org.au
