London Triathlon Down Under in 2015

MSA is pleased to announce that we will again hold a triathlon in Australia at the same time as our London based partner teams the Parnell Fund, Ockrim's Bladder Olympians, Mitrofanoff Support UK and the Bladder Bowel Foundation teams compete in the London Triathlon on 8 or 9 August 2015.

Janelle Solomon, CEO of MSA said “the 2014 event was a huge success and everyone had a great time raising money for MSA and competing against our London colleagues.”
“We are hoping this year’s event is just as much fun for all.”

For the 2014 London Triathlon, MSA fielded a winning three person team with Greg Solomon, Co-Founder, Brad Fry and Geert Vrij, who kicked off the swim leg at midnight on Saturday 2 August 2014.  The UK Teams were captained by surgeons: Urologist Dan Wood (MSpt-UK), Colorectal specialist Johathon McCullough (Bladder Bowel Foundation), and Urologist Jeremy Ockrim (Ockrim's Bladder Olympians, along with Parnell Fund team member and MSA Ambassador Neville Parnell.

Competing in sub zero conditions, the trio trounced the London based teams to take the win in the esteemed Catheters Cup.

Team Captain and MSA Co-Founder Greg Solomon said “I’m looking forward to doing it all again to raise money and awareness for MSA.”

“Participating in a triathlon in the middle of the night is certainly not something that everyone gets the chance to do.”

MSA will be entering a team for the 2015 London Triathlon and hoping for slightly warmer weather for this years’ event.

“We’re extremely grateful to the London Triathlon organisers who permit a group of Aussies to run a triathlon in their name, in the middle of a freezing winter night, said Janelle Solomon.
